ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG Tauranga is a leading co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty providing world class education to students from year 0-13. Our campus is tailored to provide an excellent learning environment for students, delivering both Cambridge and NZ Curriculums.







We are seeking a capable Accounts Officer to join our support staff team for a part-time (32 hours per week), permanent position from December 2024. Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible for the accounts payable and receivable functions, bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations to trial balance. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the school’s fixed asset register along with other ad hoc accounting duties. Previous cash handling experience would be an an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process all student billing
- Recording student payments
- Issuing receipts, as required
- Processing student refunds
- Credit control and monthly reporting
- Accurate entry of accounts payable transactions
- Invoice coding, ensuring compliance with sign off authority






- Preparation of bank payment files
- Maintains general ledger accounts, including daily bank reconciliations
- Prepares monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Provide assistance in relation to the preparation of monthly management accounts, including departmental reporting for budget holders and debtor reporting.
- Ensure all inquiries are handled efficiently and resolved within a timely manner

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Experience working in an accounting or finance role – at least 2 years
- Proven experience in administration and customer services
- Strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy






- Excellent written and oral communication – ability to communicate with a diverse range of financial and non-financial stakeholders
