About Tourism New ZealandTourism New Zealand is a Crown agent established to carry out specific functions under the New Zealand Tourism Board Act 1991 (the Tourism Act). TNZ's main objective is to market New Zealand as an international visitor destination for the long-term benefit of New Zealand. For more information about Tourism New Zealand and the Board, see its website.Membership of the BoardThe Board has between five and nine members, in accordance with the Act. Board members are appointed by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality for terms of up to three years. Members may be reappointed on the expiry of their term.





Members may be removed by the Minister at any time.Person SpecificationsThe Minister of Tourism and Hospitality is seeking highly experienced directors with proven capability, with the following skills and experience:Global Marketing and Brand GrowthInternational marketing experienceContemporary knowledge of global markets, platforms and approachesDeep experience leveraging international brands to drive growth.All members should be able to demonstrate foundational skills of:A genuine interest in Tourism New Zealand's purpose, contextual environment in which it operates and contributions to New Zealand's economic prosperityProven governance experienceLeadershipStrategic abilityFinancial acumenStrong relationship management skills, including developing valuable strategic connections with industry, consumers and other stakeholdersExpertise in change management.How to ApplyA position description can be found here.Applications close at 11.59pm on Sunday 3 November 2024.
