As a holistic kaupapa Maori (Maori approach) primary care organisation which has been serving the Taranaki community for more than 25 years, we provide a wide range of health and social wellbeing services for our whanau (families).We follow a proven Maori model of care that puts whanau at the centre, empowering them to set their own life goals and create a pathway to reaching them. Our experienced and multi-disciplinary teams walk beside them every step of the way until they are living their lives with mana.Our services include two GP practices across two locations in New Plymouth and Whaitara, a community nursing team made up of long-term health, diabetes, cancer, child and respiratory specialists,

You will be responsible for providing patient-centred, culturally appropriate, individual holistic care to our enrolled population. You will work closely with the GP's, nursing team, our intern nurse practitioner, practice pharmacist,
pharmacist prescriber and our administration team to provide clinical guidance, assistance, education, and support.Kia ekena a angitu | To promote success in this role, you will haveCurrent registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner/Matanga TapuhiCurrent practicing certificateIn depth knowledge of and passion for primary health careAbility to demonstrate advanced clinical nursing practiceA full, clean NZ Driver LicenceExperience in applying tikanga Maori as it applies in the role (desirable).This is a real opportunity for you to action meaningful change for your clients/patients and the communities you are working with.
