We are seeking someone highly motivated and process-driven to join our Regulatory and Protection Team as a Health Promotion



Our Health Promotion Advisors are responsible for working in collaboration with local businesses and establishments to ensure their compliance and awareness of NZ Public Health legislation and standards, specifically surrounding smoke free enforcement, and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol









This role is 0.8 FTE which equates to 64 hours a fortnight. While this role is usually based during normal business hours, there will be instances where you will need to work outside of these, including evenings and weekends for monitoring

Working closely alongside police, local and regional council, our Health Promotion Advisors assist with a range of statutory duties including licensing, inspections, and compliance matters. You will be committed to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be actively engaging with the Māori community and stakeholders, and able to apply Te Pae Mahutonga in your



This opportunity will see you actively providing advice, surveillance, enforcement and monitoring, and ensure the identification, reduction

To be successful in this role you will need the

Current full,





clean NZ driver's A background in Public Health or a relevant Demonstrated experience in applying relevant legislation, codes, standards, and Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports, submissions, and technical Ability to cope with work pressures and stress, whist proactively managing conflicting demands on

Our Health Promotion Advisors may be required to assist with the ongoing Public Health COVID-19 response. As such, the flexibility to also scale up hours, work out of hours and during weekends is
