Healthcare of New Zealand
Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Permanent
Healthcare NZ provide services to people across New Zealand with community and disability support; our aim being to maximise our clients independence and quality of life.
This vacancy is for multiple Support Workers across all experience levels in the Wairarapa region, in in-home services in the community. We have casual and guaranteed hours available with shifts are anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours long - so whether you are looking for flexibility around your studies, would like to support others in your community on your weekends or are looking to secure more regular longer shifts in one place, we have options for all.
Due to the volume of roles we are looking to recruit, we are running a group interview assessment centre for this role. This will be held on Monday 2nd March between 11am and 2pm and will be a chance for you to get to meet the people you will be working closely with, hear from a Support Worker and a client, and go through a different kind of interactive, fun, more relaxed interview process.
What does a Support Worker do?
Our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters, with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our clients to be as independent as possible.
What's in it for you?
We are committed to our employees and are proud to employ and train the best people in all areas of our organisation. We provide a career pathway for staff through the learning and development framework and offer a starting rate of $20.50 per hour, with the opportunity to progress once you have completed our fully funded NZQA training and qualifications.
What are we looking for?
- People with prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, including personal care (showering, dressing) preferred
- A full drivers licence and your own reliable transport
At Healthcare NZ, we're passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity, and reflects the communities we serve. If you are passionate about providing support to a wide range of people and think you would like a career with us, then we would like to hear from you!
