We are a mixedadult / paediatric urban district ED seeing 47,000 patients per year with anadmission rate of 25% and we are supported by a 16 bed Assessment and PlanningUnit, as well as excellent medical and surgical teams.
The Hutt Hospital isalso the regional centre for Burns and Plastics. Our department is part of theemergency medicine sub-regional training program with Wellington RegionalHospital,
has 18 junior staff and is accredited for 12 months registrartraining.
Staffing has recently increased for both senior and junior medicalstaff, nursing and administration.
We are committed to clinical excellence inall disciplines and Senior Medical Staff are encouraged to take part inclinical audits and peer-reviews to ensure quality clinical care is provided.
We would consider offering a Medical Officer of Specialist Scale (MOSS) position to a suitable candidate.
Moū About you
- Vocationally registered in Emergency Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand ()
- FACEM or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Relevant training and experience
- Be able to demonstrate collegial working relationships with multi-disciplinary team
