Building Compliance and Consents - Administration team
The Building Compliance and Consents (BCC) Admin team sits within City Consents and Compliance (CCC)
business unit and provides administrative support to enable the Consenting team to issue building consents and the Compliance team to issue code compliance certificates, as well as supporting other functions we do under the Building Act 2004, and help the public with advice on our processes.
The role
As a Senior BCC Administration Officer, you'll provide administration support services to the Building Consenting and Compliance team.
In this role you will provide guidance and support to increase the knowledge and skills of the administration team to undertake their roles, maintain process guides and make relevant improvements.
In your role you will support the Manager BCC Admin, working towards continuous improvements in how we manage our work. We are constantly reviewing how we allocate work and working towards agility across the team and how we can work more strategically.
We're looking for someone with a proactive approach who has an eye for process improvement and will look for ways to implement changes.
So who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with relevant experience to join us in the BCC Administration team. You may be an internal applicant or someone who has worked in a senior role in a similar regulatory environment?
The admin team is passionate about delivering exceptional administration service.
We're ideally looking for someone who brings experience in building consenting compliance administration and / or regulatory administration environment.
You'll have a strong administrative skillset with the natural ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships.
You'll be someone who can learn quickly and is confident using the Microsoft suite of tools and other relevant softwares.
We need someone who can relate to those who come from various backgrounds and can communicate effectively with people whom English may be a second language.
We would specifically welcome applications from those with an understanding of the Building Act 2004, local government experience and knowledge of compliance administration tasks however applicants from a compliance regulatory background will be considered.
