Due to company growth, Platinum Pacific Group have been able to create a new role of Junior Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects as well as managing your own smaller projects with guidance and support from seniors.
Ideal for someone who has already worked within the construction sector, maybe as a Project Administrator or Co-ordinator. You may be looking to step up and will be accountable for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, meet the required quality standards and adhere to New Zealand's building regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
- Support with procurement of materials and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain project timelines.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
- Track and report on project milestones, budgets, and potential risks or issues.
- Support in preparing project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports. · Participate in site inspections to ensure compliance with New Zealand building codes and Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety and First Aid requirements on site are met, procedures adhered to and documentation is appropriately completed.
Ideally, you’ve already been within the construction sector so you may have some understanding of the NZ Building Code, but this is not essential. Some understanding of Health & Safety standards will also be a clear advantage.
We are looking for someone who is well organized with excellent communication skills. You’ll have the proven ability to successfully negotiate and solve problems quickly. While you will be well supported, you’ll also need to be confident to work independently.
You will have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and some experience with Microsoft Project is desirable.
We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop and grow.
If you think this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV to Lisa Folkard by email ****@5starhr.co.nz
