Axis Sports Medicine brings together an interdisciplinary team of Sport and Exercise Physicians, Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Surgeons, other Specialist Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and other service providers to offer coordinated care to the country's top athletes right through to every day New Zealanders. With 90 staff (and growing) spread across multiple sites in Auckland as well as sites in Christchurch & Queenstown, Axis sets the standards in the delivery of sports medicine services. The Job
- This new role is designed to provide energetic and key support to the Clinicians and Reception team based at one of Axis' most important clinics located in Wairau Valley.
- Your work will be crucial to the smooth operation of the clinic with a focus on managing staff, clinician support, injury pathway management, and overseeing a range of important business and admin activities.
- Provide PA support to the Clinicians and manage two truly wonderful Receptionists.
- Lead the delivery of outstanding patient experiences and world-class care.
- Train and on-board staff re clinic systems and processes plus you'll be the “super user” for key software and technologies. This includes the patient management system, Indici.
- Champion innovation and improvement across the clinic, proactively making the Wairau Valley clinic an exceptional place to work from.
- This role reports to the Northern Region Clinics Manager. The position is 100% office based.
What You'll Bring
- New Zealand work experience as a Medical PA / Administrator.
- New Zealand work experience leading and managing staff in a fast paced medical / healthcare environment.
- Your people management experience will include coaching & mentoring staff, carrying out performance reviews, supporting staff to achieve set business & individual KPIs, training, and role-modelling employees to be the best they can be. You'll be good at “managing up”. Senior staff will enjoy your “no surprises” approach.
- You'll have strong technology skills. You will genuinely enjoy being the technology “champion” for the clinic and willingly take the lead with projects involving improvements to systems and all things IT.
