We are currently seeking an exceptional and experienced General Manager People and Culture to lead the People and Payroll departments. The Horizon Energy Group owns and operates an electrical contracting and infrastructure construction business, in multiple locations, and a nationwide heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration construction and servicing business, and also operates in the South Pacific. You will join a focused, friendly and supportive team of professionals committed to being successful through continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the People & Culture team to:
- Manages the Group's overall compliance with all employment relations laws and payroll legislation.
- In conjunction with the CEO and as a senior ELT member spearheads leadership and the Group's direction and motivates ELT members to own transformation and business excellence.
- Develops and drives implementation and review of the people strategy across the organisation, to achieve organization objectives and foster a high achieving, positive organisational structure.
- Manages, supports and develops our people to build capability - upskill, cross skill to improve productivity, effectiveness and motivation. Enhances Leadership capability across the group, including coaching and leading peers.
- Oversees the development and delivery of HR services across the employment lifecycle including the provision of support and advice on HR issues, recruitment, and implementation of HR programmes and information systems.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- 15+ years' experience in senior people management role.
- Provide strategic and operational advice to all levels in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
- Be commercially focused and understand risks and opportunities of various strategies and actions.
- Knowledgeable / expert in related legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience in leading change initiatives in complex organisations.
- Experience in the development and implementation of the HR, Training & Development, Culture & change aspects of business strategy, resulting in improvements to business performance.
- Strong process manager that has track record in simplifying business solutions.
- Commercial/operational management experience.
- Project Management Experience.
