Kōrero mō te tūranga About the role
This role is suitable for a recent graduate or an Occupational Therapist looking to gain experience in inpatient and community practice.
The rotational programme at Hutt Hospital runs over a 32 month period covering the following clinical areas :
- Medical
- Orthopaedics and General Surgery
- Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Community Occupational Therapy

The successful candidate will be working with experienced occupational therapists across the inpatient and community teams.
The Occupational Therapy department and the wider hospital has a friendly supportive atmosphere and a strong team ethic.
Your professional development is a priority and we provide regular supervision, in service programmes, peer review and a rotational support group.
Moū About you
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has great communication skills and is a team player who will work in partnership with clients, whānau and multidisciplinary teams.
We are passionate about supporting individuals who are enthusiastic and motivated to grow in this diverse and satisfying profession.
Essential requirements
- New Zealand OT board registration / Annual Practising Certificate
- Full NZ Driver’s licence
