- About the role Te Herenga Waka
- Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Matangi Tapuhi
- Nurse Practitioner to join the Mauri Ora
- Student Health and Counselling team on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is a clinical role, working with our awesome team of Rata Whanui
- General Practitioners, Tapuhi
- Practice Nurses and support staff to contribute to the delivery of effective quality primary care to Te Herenga Waka
- Victoria University of Wellington students in a challenging and yet very rewarding environment.
You will also work closely with Student Counselling, Health Improvement Practitioners, the Health Coach, and other student support teams. O pumanawa
- About you Ideally, you will have:
- a current Annual Practising Certificate within the scope of Nurse Practitioner
- broad experience in a primary health care setting
- experience in triaging and assessment of acute needs
- experience in sexual health and contraception would be an advantage
- empathy and interest in working with a diverse student population
- experience and interest in working in Maori and Pasifika health an advantage
- a genuine interest in younger people's health care needs
- familiarity and competence using Primary Care Medical Records Software (Indici)
- evidence of satisfactory current medical indemnity (NZNO or equivalent cover)
- a current CPR certificate.

We provide wide-ranging MDT primary health care to the University student community of 22,000.
