We have an exciting fixed term opportunity to join the Wellington Pools team as a Duty Manager. You'll focus on operational excellence and people development, whilst contributing to the day-to-day running of our very unique facility. We are looking to appoint on a 5 month term, however a shorter period may be considered for the right applicant.
Our Duty Managers work closely with the Operations Manager to:
- Ensure procedures and schedules for facility maintenance and presentation are carried out.
- Build and enhance the capability of your team.
- Display visible leadership in health and safety systems and practices.
- Provide and maintain a high standard of pool lifeguarding.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Undertake administrative tasks.
You'll be joining a team that is passionate about enriching people's lives, who focus on health and safety, whilst sharing knowledge and listening to one another's ideas. Continuous improvement is important to us, and we want to make an already great facility and workplace even better. If that's your philosophy, you'll fit in well.
You will:
- Hold a current NZ lifeguard qualifications - PLPC, first aid level 2 or higher is desirable
- Have worked in a senior or leadership role within an aquatic facility.
- Be an effective communicator and confident in providing leadership and excellent interpersonal skills that will enable you to develop strong working relationships with people.

We are looking to appoint from $68,855 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
