Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Hygienist / Oral Health Therapist to join our dynamic team.





As a Dental Hygienist / Oral Health Therapist at Central Hutt Dental, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining our patients' oral health. You will work closely with our experienced dentists and support staff to deliver comprehensive oral care services to our valued patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform dental hygiene and preventive procedures, including cleanings, scaling, and root planning.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' oral health and educate them on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary.
• Assist in the diagnosis of dental conditions and the development of treatment plans.
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
• Promote and educate patients on the importance of maintaining good oral health.
Qualifications:
• Current registration and practicing license in New Zealand.






• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current dental hygiene and oral health therapy best practices.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
