The team at Metal Skills undertake product design, laser cutting, punching, folding, welding and powder coating, all under one roof. They are New Zealand's only single-source location for a true end-to-end manufacturing solutions for sheet metal fabricated products. The perk of this being that their team get to grow within Metal Skills, give new things a try and of course get to work in their state-of-the-art facility. Based in East Tamaki, they're in a handy location to East and South Auckland.
About the role:
The Laser and Turret Operator would see you setting up, maintaining and operating the laser and turret machines to manufacture and cut product ensuring project requirements and specifications are met.
Additionally,
you will be responsible for:
Checking and interpreting drawings
Following and undertaking work instructions correctly to maintain a safe work site
Ensuring quality, cost and delivery times are met
Ensuring objectives, policies and procedures are consistently adhered to
This is a full-time role working Monday to Thursday.
The ideal Laser and Turret Operator will:
Have a minimum of 3 years' relevant laser or turret machining experience
Have a proven work history in a sheet metal environment
Have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, and detailed instructions
Have familiarity with Amada machinery (this is a bonus)
Be a team player
Have good attention to detail
