Auckland Rose Park Hotel is located in Parnell, across from the beautiful rose gardens in Central Auckland, offering recently refurbished 111 rooms, with city or garden views, 75 free onsite car parks, We host an outdoor swimming pool, Garden View Restaurant & Bar and 4 conference and meeting spaces seating up to 110 delegates. Recently we have received 4-star Qualmark accreditation.
About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Restaurant and Conference Manager looking for their next career step, you are dedicated in delivering a unique experience within our Garden View Restaurant and Conference areas. Your focus will be on the visions and values of the business and take responsibility for managing the Restaurant,





you will be reporting directly to the Hotel Manager and working with the wider management team and supporting the Conference operations.
You will bring previous customer, and restaurant experience, along with the ability to inspire, encourage, support, and manage your team. You will be tasked with maintaining, and enhancing the skill set of our staff while ensuring quality customer service is always provided and we are exceeded expectations through the timely, efficient, friendly delivery of service.
To succeed in this role, we're looking for someone with: 3 years of previous experience in a senior restaurant operations roleA genuine passion for creating, promoting, and following up events, themed offerings, and promotions.You will have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills.Ensuring the team maximise opportunities to increase guest satisfaction and experience.Coordinate the team to ensure they perform at their best.Experience and proactiveness when recruiting for your team.Superior customer service skills, been able to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.Work with the kitchen brigade to ensure a seamless operation.Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Strong wine knowledgeUnderstanding of menu preparation while able to give input or suggestions.Ability to work breakfast, lunch or dinner shifts including weekends.You will have a current General Manager's Certificate and Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) or the ability to obtain one.Promoting Workplace Health and Safety and Building a strong safety culture.Demonstrated the ability to lead an energised team. Social media exposure knowledge an advantage as we look to grow quickly in this area.Strong knowledge and understanding of wage costs, beverage costs, stock control, FIFO, budget expectations and ordering patterns.
