We're looking for a financial accountant to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, providing both parental leave cover and some extra support as we close out a significant ERP transformation project.
What you will do: Maintain effective internal controls, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Manage intercompany billing, accounts and intercompany transactions.
Support and facilitate high-quality financial reporting and analysis within Finance and for the wider business, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with the development of new reporting and analytics tools.
Lead or support key financial accounting processes, including managing assets, IFRS 16 lease schedules and revenue recognition calculations.
Participate in the final design and testing of, and then embed, new financial processes within Weta's new ERP system.
What you will bring: Strong technical IFRS knowledge, including fixed assets,
leases and ideally revenue recognition Experience in process improvement and developing reports/systems/processes Experience with cloud-based ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 F&O;, and advanced proficiency in Business Intelligence tools like Power BI.
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting purposes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and effectively.
A highly analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
